In his youth he combined his studies in law with his passion for jazz, popular music and French song, passed on to him by his parents. A passion shared with his brother Paolo, which led them to an artistic partnership that passed through the first musical groups, up to contacts with the Celentano clan and the joint writing of famous songs, including "Una giorno al sea" brought to success by Equipe84 and taken up by various interpreters).
When their paths separate, Giorgio continues his activity as a composer and author for performers on the Italian scene, including Mina, Ornella Vanoni ("The descent and then the sea", "Sotto il sole con il mare" and "Cose che they say"), Fausto Leali ("Deborah", also filmed by Mina), Rosanna Fratello ("I'm not Maddalena"), Loretta Goggi ("Outside there are wolves"), Francesco Baccini ("Bastian's carousel") , of which he is also the artistic producer of his debut album, and internationally (including Mireille Mathieu and Wilson Pickett).

At the same time as working in the law firm, he dedicated himself to theater (tour with Bruno Gambarotta) and collaborated on the radio program "Quelli che la radio..." on RadioDue Rai with Enrico Bertolino and Giorgio Comaschi.
The first album is "Zona Cesarini" (1982). This was followed by "L'erba di San Pietro" (1987), "Giorgio Conte" (1993), “Live” (1994) and “Concerto” (1995). After his first participation in the Tenco Prize, he decided to abandon his lawyer role to dedicate himself only to music. Which will take him to stages in Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Holland, Spain, Slovenia, Luxembourg and Canada. The recording activity continues with “La vita sia” (1997), “Ecomi qua” (1999), “L'ambasador dei dream” (2000), “Il Contestorie” (2003) which also contains a book of his stories and in 2004 the live album, recorded in Alberobello, “The best of” and “La belle vie” published in France. In 2006 his song “Gnè gnè” - album “Contestorie” and collection "Italian Café" by Putumayo (with around 900 thousand plays on Spotify) - was used by the famous choreographer and dancer Mikhail Barysnikov for a ballet in New York


2011 he released the album “C.Q.F.P.” (Like When It Rains Outside) – White Wing/Warner. He is a guest on various programs: “Radio2 Social Club” (hosted by L. Barbarossa), “Dr Djembè”, Rai3 (with Stefano Bollani), “Start”, Rai1, “Isoradio”, “La guardiana del faro” on Radio24 (with Barbara Alberti) and “Moby Dick” on RSI rete2, Switzerland. He is the musical guest of the National Day of Catalonia, in Barcelona (live on Spanish TV).

2012 and 2013 he was a guest on "Effetto Notte" on Radio2Rai and "Compagni di viaggio" on Radio24 and on TV in various programs, including 'Wikitaly', RAI2 (with Enrico Bertolino and Miriam Leone); is among the protagonists of the prestigious Barnasants Festival in Barcelona.

2014 he published the album “Cascina Piovanotto” (AlaBianca/Warner), twelve songs recorded at his home, which are a condensation of his thoughts, sensations, emotions and life lived.

2015 and 2016 completely live, in Italy and Europe.

2017 “Sconfinando” is his fourteenth album, recorded with the “Duchessa di Parma” Symphony Orchestra for the artistic production of Maestro Alessandro Nidi and the executive production of Toni Verona for Ala Bianca (Warner distribution). Album containing his published songs revisited in a symphonic key and some unpublished ones, with the cover by Maestro Ugo Nespolo (www.nespolo.com). Connected to a Tour of the same name which debuts at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome and continues in various theatres, including Milan, Parma, Locarno, Albenga (Sv) for “Ottobre De Andrè”, Asti and squares, including Modena, Pavia, Castel Rocchero (At) for “Castel Rocchero in lume”, the Festival delle Serre in Cerisano (Cs), also crossing over into Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg and France (also in Paris, at the “Café de la danse ”).

2018 His song “Cosa vive” (one of the unreleased songs from the album “Sconfinando”) is part of the soundtrack of the film “Vengo anch’io” by the comic duo Nuzo and Di Biase (Warner distribution); Fun Radio (Slovak network) transforms the song "Gnè gnè" - "Contestorie" version - into a video with the participation of its listeners:


2019 and 2020 FME Education publishes, on the Audible platform, its podcast “Why Poetry” (also edited by his daughter Lucilla) while continuing its live activity in Italy, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Slovenia and Spain, waiting to resume it in 2021, with a new show that will cover his long artistic career.

2021 on 18 March the Minister of Culture announces on Twitter that his song "Stringimi forte", in the version with the Duchessa di Parma Symphony Orchestra of the album "Sconfinando" (October 2017), is used, with the images of the video,

 The American NETFLIX synchronizes its song "Cannelloni", in the soundtrack of the second episode of the fifth season, of "The Crown" about the English royals (among the most watched TV series in the world). ORF (Austria's national public broadcaster) produces the double LP "Notte italiana" of his live concert in Radiokulturhaus in 2011. 2023 He debuts on January 9th with his show “Bagni Arcobaleno” where he narrates - with his stories, anecdotes, projections and musical counterpoints by Maestro Alessandro Nidi on the piano - his journey as a composer who collaborated - for some years with brother Paolo -, citing the best known, with the Celentano Clan, Mina, Ornella Vanoni, Loretta Goggi, Fausto Leali, Rosanna Fratello, Equipe84, Mireille Mathieu, Wilson Pickett and then becoming an international chansonnier (the second part of the show is dedicated to a selection of his songs) at the Franco Parenti Theater in Milan, with great public success, articles in Corriere della Sera, La Repubblica and il Giorno and TV reports on RAI3 (TG Lombardia and “Fuori Linea” column)


In the live reports, on September 6th, the performance at the "Beauty Festival" Negrar (VR). An eclectic artist, Giorgio has, in parallel with his activity as an author and chansonnier, other vocations: collaborator and partner in theatrical shows with Bruno Gambarotta and Alessandro Fullin; host, together with Enrico Bertolino and Giorgio Comaschi, of “Quelli che la radio” on RAI Radio2; painter who in 2012 "dressed up" with his drawings, together with other artists, including Giorgio Faletti, one of the twelve mega bottles (two and a half metres) that made up the "Author's Bottles" exhibition; actor. He is the protagonist of the docufilm "Più alto dellecloud" by Fredo Valla (story of Géo Chavez's first crossing of the Alps, to whom Giorgio dedicated the song "Géo", album C.Q.F.P.) written with the journalist of "La Stampa" Carlo Grande, soundtrack of the docufilm which participated in the Bansko Film Fest in Bucharest, at the Trieste Film Festival and screened at the Cinema Massimo in Turin (home of the Cinema Museum). He has published four stories: “Il Contestorie”, combined with the CD of the same name (2003, Storie di Note), “Sfogliar verze”, with which he will obtain the Literary Prize “L'intruso” in Costa Smeralda, (2007, Excelsior1881) and “Un orange tractor” (2011, Cairo Editore), “Hare al civet” (2018, Slow Food Editore).
